This policy explains how BossLabs Ltd (“BossLabs”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you play PopPop: Balloon Escape (the “Game”) on iPhone or iPad. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Our address is Bank Chambers, St. Petersgate, Stockport SK1 1AR, United Kingdom.
The short version: the Game has no accounts and we never ask for your name, email or contacts. Your progress is stored on your device. The Game is free because it shows ads, and our advertising partners collect some device and usage information to do that. You can control personalised ads at any time.
| Type | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings | Level, stars, coins, boosters, Poppet Park progress, sound and vibration settings | To run the Game. Stored only on your device. |
| Device and technical data | Device model, OS version, language, time zone, app version, IP address | Showing ads, preventing fraud, fixing bugs |
| Identifiers | Apple’s Identifier for Vendors (IDFV); the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking | Ad measurement and frequency capping; personalised ads with your permission |
| Approximate location | Country or region derived from IP address (never precise GPS) | Showing ads relevant to your region and applying the right privacy rules |
| Usage and advertising data | Levels played, ads viewed or tapped, rewards claimed | Ad delivery and measurement, improving the Game |
| Purchase data | Which in-app items you bought (from Apple) | Delivering and restoring purchases. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details. |
| Diagnostics | Crash logs and performance data | Keeping the Game stable |
We use Google AdMob to show ads. Google, and advertisers and ad networks that buy ads through Google, may receive the device and usage information above to deliver and measure ads. You can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. A list of our current advertising partners is available on request.
We may use a game analytics service to understand how the Game is played (for example, which levels are too hard) so we can improve it. Analytics data is linked to a random device identifier, not to your identity, and is never used to track you across other companies’ apps.
We do not sell your information for money. We share it only with the service providers described above (advertising, analytics, crash reporting and Apple), when required by law, or as part of a business transfer. Some partners are located outside the UK/EEA. Where they are, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Game progress stays on your device until you delete the Game. Advertising and analytics data held by our partners is kept according to their own retention policies, typically no longer than 13 to 25 months.
The Game is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the Game has no accounts, the easiest controls are Privacy Choices in the Game, your device’s Tracking settings, and deleting the Game. To make a request, email us at ash@bosslabs.co.uk. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the Game.
